Privacy
Short version: this is a static site. No accounts, no logins, nothing to sign up for — so there is very little to collect, and that is by design rather than by promise.
What is collected
Standard server request logs — IP address, user agent, referring page, and the URL requested — are recorded by the hosting infrastructure for security and traffic measurement. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to see which comparisons people actually open.
What is not collected
- No accounts and no password database, because there is nothing to log into.
- No mailing list unless you deliberately send an address.
- No cross-site behavioural advertising profile built by us.
- No form submissions stored here. The correction form on the contact page composes a message in your own mail app; the fields never leave your browser.
- Filter settings live in the page URL and in your browser, not on a server.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to hosting providers are affiliate links. Clicking one may set a cookie belonging to that provider or its affiliate network so that a signup can be attributed. Those cookies are governed by the provider's privacy policy, not this one. What comes back to us is commission data, not your personal information.
Third parties
- Google Fonts
- Typefaces are served from Google's CDN, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. That request includes your IP address and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting & CDN
- Request logs are processed as described above for delivery, caching and abuse prevention.
- Affiliate networks
- Attribution cookies set at the moment you click through to a provider. Nothing is set before that click.
Your choices
You can browse the entire site with no cookies set by us. Blocking third-party cookies will not break anything here — at worst it prevents a provider from attributing a signup, which costs us and not you. Sending "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" changes nothing about our behaviour because there is no behavioural profile to opt out of.
Children
This site is aimed at people buying server infrastructure and is not directed at children under 13. No age information is collected.
Data requests
If you are covered by the GDPR, the CCPA, or Colombia's Ley 1581 de 2012, you have rights of access, correction and deletion over personal data held about you. Because no personal data is stored here beyond transient request logs, most such requests are answered by explaining exactly that. Email privacy@vpsmarketplace.com and it gets answered.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page moves. There is no notification list to be on.
